I honestly admit I appreciate Christmas more since I’ve lived in Europe. Visiting Paris for winter holiday has been our annual end of the year tradition. However, this year for the first time I enjoyed the Christmassy feeling for the whole season. As early as it started from December and lasted for a few weeks after the holiday season was over. Festive vibe is in full swing and you can definitely see it from holiday decorations, lights and people carrying their Christmas tree home. Check out this ‘Christmas in Paris’ post to discover my fave Instagramable spots this holiday season.
Christmas vibe is up in the air! And you can imagine how wonderful it is by scrolling through some spots I’ve shared on my Instagram feed. Here now I put together everything I photographed from my strolls through the city. I hope you feel the holiday spirit as much as I do!
Hôtel de ville de Paris
I just loved how beautiful are these cafes and shops covered with festive decorations! They are all out when it comes to Christmas displays.
And also in Le Marais!
It’s a shame that we don’t have our annual Christmas market in Champs-Élysées this year, however you can still feel the magic around. There are some Christmas stands and booths to sip some mulled wine or enjoy festive french delicacies.
Christmas market in Les Halles
Some main shopping centre districts like Avenue Montaigne, Rue Saint-Honoré, Village Royal are packed as it gets closer to Christmas. And the window displays in Galeries Lafayette and Printemps are always something you like to check out. Step at the centre of the main store of Galeries Lafayette and look up for the breathtaking view of floating Christmas decorations above.
Hidden passage is always a good idea too!
