When Kay contacted me to create her wedding invite and shared her vision of her big day, I couldn’t help not to fall in love with her rustic, boho and vintage wedding.
The venue was set up in a barn of Sydney countryside near the river, giving a romantic countryside atmosphere for her wedding. We talked about her choice of bold, warm and autumn floral tone; orange, terracota, wine paired with greenery. Overall she wanted the invite to look rustic, earthy tones, organic, vintage feel with quirky informal wordings. We opted for kraft paper and play around with typography and using tongue and cheek wording for her suite.
The suite was printed on ivory card and kraft envelope. I hand drawn some iconic illustrations for a wedding programme card. I incorporated her choice of floral, wattle- the Australian national flower, for her custom stamp. I printed on vinyl sticker to seal her kraft envelope.
The style also carried throughout her wedding day. Using a kraft paper for wedding stationery such as place cards and menu. For the signage, I made a welcome banner with the same font we’re using paired with script lettering for the invite and wattle illustration on the top of signage. On the day, it was printed on a canvas cloth and hang up with a piece of wood.
