Bridesmaid Gifts: something blue

When designing a bridesmaid gift, there are several things I take into an account. I always spend time to listen the bride- asking her vision, personality, wedding style to get some backgrounds and link it up together. Most of wedding parties don’t have a particular theme such as this recent Lovebirdstories project I was handling. The bride just simply asked to incorporate something blue into her bridesmaid gift box. Here are some highlights and tips I think it’s important to create a thoughtful curated bridesmaid gift box for your favourite ladies.

Bridal Shower Inspiration

I am so thrilled  to welcome this november as one of my best friends is getting married this week. This is my first time to be a bridesmaid, so can you imagine I am overwhelmed with ideas of perfect wedding gift and look forward for holy matrimony, wedding day and also the bridal shower! All bridesmaids agree to host the bridal shower slash hen party slash bachelorette party. I will share how to prepare the bridal shower for the bride-to-be. No need wedding planner as you can do it alone with other bridesmaids. So, note it down:

– Pick the theme

You could have a fancy dining in restaurant, girls night out in pub/club, beach party, costume party or even a gateway to countryside in weekend. Whatever you fancy to do, it’s going to be a special night to remember!

– Mark the date and book the place

Make a reservations in advance before your favorite place is full booked. Bear in your mind how many people to invite, so you can have a private room in restaurant , VIP corner in pub/club, nice hotel in countryside.

– Get crazy in details

Girls love sweet little things- decorate the table with favorite colour palette and printables, hang the pretty garland and lantern, design place cards, coasters, bridal shower sign, napkins ring, and make it romantic with candles and flowers.

Thanks for Stephanie who design these lovely printables!

– Get attention in costumes

The point of this bridal shower is to get the bride-to-be in spotlight. So, dress your bride-to-be a sweet little princess, or nasty and sexy white dress, or spooky corpse bride, or crazy, quirky, ridiculous costume ever! Style the bride-to-be with tiara and veil, sash, wand, rosette badge, garter,  giant engagement ring, anything you can think of! Other guests can wear dress code to rock the night.

– Keepsakes

Give the bride-to-be something memorable to keep. Have a reminiscence with collage of old photos, give a personalised nasty lingerie,  flashback movie, testimonials card or board, friendship quote in a frame, friendship bracelets or something that mean a lot to all of you.

– Don’t forget to have fun! Camera is on!

Challenge your bride-to-be to dance in crowd, flirt with strangers, mimicking celebrity in action on stage, sing on table, give kiss marks on others, eat the thing that the bride-to-be hate, take off the garter with only mouth from stranger, anything wild and crazy! Warm the night by playing games and truth or dare. Here for some inspirations The knot, 10 hen party ideas, Hen Party Games.
