DIY: Stitched Hearts Globe Card

A while a go I came across a nice handmade Valentine card from one of my inspiration blogs, Dandee. I swoon the hearts stitched together project and wonder if I could make one someday! The day has came when I need to make my boyfriend’s birthday card, I thought a cute and romantic handmade card will be perfect for him. My boyfriend loves globe and map so my idea is stitching the hearts onto a print out of world map. Follow me how to create quick and easy this DIY tutorial!

To begin the DIY project, you need to print the artwork above and prepare red embroidery , needle, and scissors.

Cut the long embroidery approx 60 cm. You might not need that long but it is better to have it more instead of running out the embroidery in the middle of stitching.

The stitching process starts with poking the dots so while you are at the back of the card you are still able to see the holes. Stitch the paper by creating x and repeat until you fill both hearts.

To tidy up the back of the card, I attach the same size plain card with glue. Now you can fold the card and show up your finished hearts! Don’t forget to write on your love message inside the card!

Sorry you’re leaving

Oh no! One of my best friends is leaving the town for good. We’ve been friends for 3 years, so I am definitely will miss her so much. Saying goodbye never been easy, all we can do is enjoying every moments left. Preparing a memorable card might cheer up the farewell a bit!. A simple personalised handmade card should work better than a sorry you’re leaving card sold in gift & card shop. So, my idea is to create card that resembles our friendship. It’s all about our journey together as a best friend, flatmate, lunatic travelers simply presented on an airport destination board print. We’ve met in Newcastle and became a flatmate, travel across cities in UK-Oxford, Alton Tower, Nottingham, Corsham, Bath, Brighton, farnham and Turkiye. Till we meet again in Jakarta or who knows in UK? so, next destination, London?

Never ending surprise!

Hope you won’t get bored, I am writing another blog about birthday surprise. This month I have massive close friends who celebrate their lovely day. Four days a go, Orys-my partner in crime is being 20! Bear with me and discover my plan to surprise her.

My mission is telling her by phone that someone broke into our house. Literally, once she is so panic to go back home, we are hiding in kitchen to surprise her, with a cake and candles of course.

The fake scene,”The trace of burglar”

In fact, she is really shocked! It means that my mission is accomplished. really well. beyond well. *evil grin.

Then when she think the surprise is over. I have another surprise waiting for her the next morning.

Follow my preparation:
