Vintage/Shabby Chic Bridal Shower

Today I’m sharing this bridal shower with vintage flare and whimsical decor styled by Lovebirdstories. This vintage inspired tea party with a bit of Victorian touch for the bride-to-be, Yeni featured shabby chic tablescape, pastel flower centrepiece, floral party accessories, and vintage stationery. Head this way to see how these pretty elements come together.

To begin, here’s a bit of progress behind the planning. The design started from picking the theme which fits with the bride-to-be personality and she would love the shabby chic idea! Start off with some sketches for the mockup of the tablescape design.

From the dainty teacups and saucers, to cake stand and high tea adorned with pearls, laces and dollies to achieve luscious and romantic afternoon tea. Flower bouquets in soft colour palette were assembled in teapot, birdcage and vintage glasses to create the centrepiece.

The bridal shower stationery was custom designed from hand painted watercolour illustration to create whimsical floral foliage. The design was adapted on the invitation and paired with script lettering, roman typeface and gold accent. The invitation was printed on the art cartoon and framed with vintage frame to complete the look.

The cohesive design was also incorporated throughout the party stationery such as: placemat, menu, and place card. Everything goes together but not identically the same. The teapot-shaped menu that fitted perfectly with the theme and place cards for each individual guest were just simply adorned with vintage frame. Some cute details such as these personalised labels for tea bag sayings ‘Love is Brewing’, ‘The Perfect Blend’, ‘You’re just my cup of tea’ were sweet addition to the party.

Another personalised detail of the bridal shower is the vintage postcard suite to write personal messages and wishes to the bride-to-be. They are great for keepsake too. The suite includes a set of vintage postcards, stamps, and vintage maps with the couple names.
